I’ve been using scratchers LUI, VIGO and TOBI from myKotty for almost a year now and I’m ready to share my opinion on them.
In the fall of last year, we started the process of buying our own house and I won the voucher to myKotty store – both of these things turned out to be a fantastic excuse to buy a set of gray scratchers LUI, VIGO and TOBI.
Few words about myKotty
myKotty is a world-famous Polish brand of products for cats. I saw myKotty scratchers for the first time in a Polish TV show presenting interesting gadgets a few years ago. I also got a lot of questions from followers of my social media whether I tested them and whether I recommend them. No wonder – after all, it’s a Polish product, and I like testing Polish products 😉

Polish products
Scratchers LUI, VIGO and TOBI from myKotty are manufactured in Poland from local materials.
By purchasing local products, you support the local economy and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions related to transport. Buy consciously and remember that your choice matters.
Eco friendly
The scratchers are made of natural cardboard, and they are produced in Poland. In addition, they are double-sided (more on that below), so they allow for a longer period of use.

Material
Scratchers LUI, VIGO and TOBI from myKotty are made of natural cardboard bonded with an odorless glue, which is safe for humans and animals (it is used, for example, for packaging for human food).
Functionality and design
MyKotty scratching posts are multifunctional, as they can be used as both a scratching post and a lair. Each of them can be turned upside down to give you a second life.
Scratcher LUI (gray)
I saw scratcher Lui on a TV show a few years ago. It is characterized by an interesting design and plenty of space for scratching – the cat can scratch the surface inside, outside, and can even be turned upside down.

Drapak VIGO (siwy)
Scratcher Vigo is quite a heavy scratching post (2.6 kg) and therefore it is really stable. It looks huge but is streamlined. As in the case of other myKotty scratchers it can be turned upside down and be like new.

Drapak TOBI (siwy)
Scratcher Tobi is the lightest and most mobile cat scratcher among all three myKotty cat scratchers. It looks great on the windowsill and I often put it on my desk to keep Apollo close to me. It also works well as a travel scratcher, but is too long to fit in a “cabin” suitcase.

My opinion about myKotty scratchers
Durability of cat scratchers
Scratchers LUI, VIGO and TOBI from myKotty are made of really soft cardboard and despite the fact that I have several scratchers and only one cat, after these several months the wear of the scratchers is clearly visible. As a result of Apollo’s play and moving scratching posts while cleaning, a few scratches appeared on the furniture fronts. myKotty states that one scratching post can serve a cat from half a year to a year, depending on the intensity of use.
Which scratching post I like the most
At the very beginning, I liked the design of the Lui scratching post the most (so much that I made an illustration inspired by this scratching post). It is really beautiful, elegant, and has a lot of scratching surface. Its lightness, however, turned out to be a big problem, because Apollo can move it while playing. Several times the jump at higher speed cause the scratching post to overturn what scared my cat.
The Vigo scratching post already weighs so much that such events did not take place, and it is also able to bear the weight of an adult. Unfortunately, his appearance is not sophisticated enough for my taste.
At the beginning, I was very skeptical about the smallest scratching post, Tobi, but I bought it anyway. I am very glad that I decided to do it, because it was a bull’s eye. After almost a year of using all myKotty scratchers, I can confidently say that we liked the Tobi scratching post the most. It is low and light, so it can be placed anywhere (on a window sill, desk, etc.) and even taken on a trip. Therefore, I will definitely buy the Tobi scratching post in other colors.
