Josera Filet is wet cat food produced by a company actively involved in environmental protection. In this post, you’ll learn about my detailed analysis, test results, and thoughts on Josera Filet wet cat food.
Few words about Josera
Josera is a family company from Germany that creates natural animal food. They are known for their dry food, but recently they have offered two lines of wet cat food: Paté and Filet. Their shop also sells toys with catnip and cardboard houses for cats.
Tests and composition analysis
Josera Filet doesn’t contain any grains, GMO, dyes or preservatives. Thanks to Josera, we had an opportunity to test variants:
- Chicken with Duck,
- Chicken with Salmon,
- Chicken.
Price (around): 1 EUR for 70 grams
Eco-friendly
Josera does not carry out tests on animals during production and actively participates in environmental protection.
As part of the project to reduce carbon dioxide, Josera planted many trees and is constantly working on a more ecological production and transport method. In addition, the company is part of the Eco-Management and Audit System (EMAS).
Unboxing
On our YouTube channel you can watch a video from unboxing Josera products and assembling the cardboard house:
Smell and consistency
By the name of the product “Josera Filet”, I expected that in sachets I would find loose pieces of fillets in sauce, but to my positive surprise, the foods have a really nice, thick and moist consistency. The smell of food is also very nice and natural.

Comprehensive analysis of the composition
Josera Filet has a balanced composition, adequate taurine content, and thanks to the good ratio of calcium and phosphorus, it mmight be suitable for cats with urinary problems. The amount of carbohydrates in some foods is slightly too high – by 1-2 percentage points, but this is really a small margin that you can afford. Currently, Josera Filet is available only in the form of 70 gram sachets and the dominant ingredient is chicken. The composition is natural: it doesn’t contain cereals, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.
Advantages
- clear and easily available feed composition description,
- the right amount of taurine,
- good ratio of calcium and phosphorus,
- no wheat and soy,
- no GMO,
- no artificial flavors, no dyes, no preservatives.
Disadvantages
- no salmon oil,
- the amount of carbohydrates in some flavors is slightly too high.
My opinion about Josera Filet
After my analysis, I think that Josera Filet can be the complete basis of a daily and balanced diet. I hope that soon we will get larger packaging, e.g. 400 gram cans (as another step towards being eco) and other meat bases, e.g. turkey. I will closely follow the development of this Josera product line and try out new variants in the future.
My cat’s opinion
Apollo liked all the flavors we tried. How I know he like it? The plate was licked clean in a few seconds, and his fluffy face was directed at me with a question in his eyes “Can you gimme more?”
