Tundra wet cat food appeared on the Polish market quite recently. Are you wondering if this food is a good choice for your cat? In this post, you’ll learn about my detailed analysis, test results, and thoughts on Tundra wet cat food in cans and sachets.
Few words about Tundra
The creators of TUNDRA food were inspired by wild tundra, boreal forests and wild snow leopards. The result of this inspiration is grain-free food that contains 62-70% meat – including wild Pacific salmon or free-range ducks and turkeys.
My tests and analysis
One flavor line of food is 85gram sachets, while the other flavor line is 400gram and 200gram cans.

Smell and consistency
The smell is strong but very pleasant in both versions (in sachets and cans). The canned version is more creamy than sachet ones. Some food versions contain vegetables that are visible to the naked eye.
Composition and analysis of Tundra
The producer states that Tundra cat food is complete cat food. I have checked whether it really is the complete and balanced base of a daily and diet for your cat.
To find out the nutritional value and balance of the cat food, I calculated the exact content of macronutrients in the feed (the percentage of protein, fats, and carbohydrates relative to 100 grams of dry matter).

Comprehensive analysis of the composition
The Tundra cat wet food has a balanced composition – an optimal level of fats and proteins as well as an adequate content of taurine. The residual amounts of vegetables, fruits, and herbs in some flavors rise the number of carbohydrates – a maximum of 3 percentage points, but this is a really small margin you can afford.
Advantages
- without cereals and gluten,
- the right amount of taurine,
- optimal fat and protein levels.
- large selection of flavors,
- variety – 8 different meats,
- two mono-protein flavors.
Disadvantages
- in Poland it is available only in one online store,
- no information about the content of calcium and phosphorus,
- slightly elevated carbohydrates.
My opinion about Tundra
After my analysis, I think that Tundra can be the complete basis of a daily and balanced diet. I hope that food will soon be more available and new flavors will come.
My cat’s opinion
Did my cat Apollo like it? Apollo eated all the food variants eagerly. It seems that lamb and deer meat could compete with his favorite beef (which, unfortunately, is not yet found in Tundra cat foods).
